All reserved equipment must be picked
up before the scheduled reservation time. Equipment is available
for pick up 30 minutes before your scheduled
reservation.
Faculty and staff must show their
University ID card with a valid sticker for the current semester
when checking out equipment. Equipment cannot be "loaned" or
traded with colleagues - the person who borrows the equipment
must be responsible for picking it up and returning it.
The checkout procedures will take
approximately 15 minutes to complete, faculty should plan their
time accordingly. If there are an exceptionally high number of
reservations it is possible that the check out and return time
will be longer.
If this is the first time you are
reserving and picking up equipment, please plan to spend an
additional 15 minutes for training (for a total of 30
minutes).
Late Pickups
Any reserved equipment that is not
picked up by the start of the reservation time, will be made
available for walk in requests.
Example: Fred Faculty made a
reservation for a laptop and LCD projector from 9:00-12:00. At
9:02 Fred had not picked up his equipment, but Ina Instructor
stopped by the see if a projector on a walk in basis and is given
the LCD projector. Fred arrives at 9:10, the projector is no
longer available, but he is able to check out the laptop on a
walk-in basis.
Late Returns
Faculty returning equipment late will be given 1 infraction. A total of 3 infractions prohibits a faculty member from reserving and borrowing equipment from the ARC. If you know you are going to have to return your equipment late, please call us immediately to make arrangements.
